Google Analytics Report
Access your campaign reports in Google Analytics
With eFlyerMaker's Google Analytics integration set up, you can gather some really useful insights from the email campaigns sending traffic to your website. See what people do on your site once they get there, so you can work out how to keep them coming back.
If you have sent your first campaign containing Google Analytics tracking tags, this page will show you where to find the site usage reports in your analytics account.
Find reports for a specific email campaign
Email campaigns that have been sent with tracking enabled are tagged in your analytics account by the campaign name, not the email subject line.
To find reporting for a particular campaign:
- log in to your Google Analytics account
Click Acquisition > Campaigns in the sidebar
In Google Analytics, "Campaigns" can include banner ads, affiliate links, emails sent by one or more ESPs, or clicks from a Google Adwords campaign, just to name a few. If you're tracking multiple campaign types, it's easier to find a specific email campaign when you use the secondary dimension and advanced filtering to view email campaigns only.
To do that:
Click the Secondary dimension button below "Campaign"
Select Acquisition > Medium
|
|
- Click advanced next to the search field to see more filtering options.
From there click the Campaign button
Select Dimensions > Medium
Type "email" into the Containing text field
Click Apply
|
|
Your email campaign reports can be found this way because all links in eFlyerMaker emails, that have been tagged for tracking with Google Analytics, include this parameter: utm_medium=email
TIP: If you entered a term for "Campaign Source" when enabling Google Analytics tracking for your client, click Source or Source/Medium, as shown in the screen capture above, to filter the reports by medium and your source term.
Overview of the email campaign report
This section is an introductory guide to the report page for an email sent with eFlyerMaker. Here's an example of what a campaign report looks like in Google Analytics:

|
- At the top of the page is the campaign name: October Newsletter. Below the graph, you see the number of website sessions the campaign has generated so far, the average number of pages viewed per-session, session duration, new users and lots more.
Track sales and conversions : If you are using Google Analytics to measure sales and conversions, use the Explorer view to see what percentage of goal conversions or transactions can be attributed to the email campaigns you've sent:
